A little bit about me:I am here mostly because my dad--73 years old, living in Mexico--has diabetes and also seems to be suffering from some type of dementia. His memory is poor, he hallucinates, and his personality has changed significantly.

It has been very difficult for my sister and mom to convince him to get medical treatment, and he has not yet seen a neurologist, but an internist who saw him recently mentioned Pick's Disease as a possible diagnosis.

I still hope that all his mental symptoms are diabetes-related and that they'll improve once he gets it controlled--which seems now to be happening, his glucose levels are much better than just a few weeks ago--, but I would still like to learn about neurological conditions in case he is eventually diagnosed with one of them.
