A little bit about me:I am 62, widowed living alone, with multiple health problems. I stay up to date via computer on my conditions and want a Dr. to respect that I know my own body. With my nursing background, I expect him to work WITH me for any treatments I need. I had been on SSDI for years, then took myself off and tried to work. Hard to get back on disability once you do that! It took an attorney and 2-3 yrs, but glad I got back on as I cannot work at all anymore! I'm glad to help anyway that I can by answering questions and sharing my knowledge and/or experience. I love surfing the net and playing games on www.pogo.com; reading; travel (health permitting); watching TV; -- Everything I can do to keep my mind sharp, and other things too numerous to mention. Have family (6 kids, 11 grands and 1 great-grand)-- they live far from me and don't get to see them very often. I was widowed on Aug 19, 2002. My husband died of hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer), so I can also answer questions about that condition, too.
