  • I tried Lrrica too for about 2 weeks...it was awful for me...my hands, feet and lower legs sweeled, couldn't close my fingers or wear shoes...I was so sick...and it didn't help with the sleeping or the pain..waiting on an appointment with a spealist in the matter! The doctor dc ed it because I was so sick! Good luck finding something that works for you. They told me Lyrica was the only FDA approved medicine for fibro..

  • I tried Lyrica but didn't like side effects. Three months ago my health freak friend started me eating very high antioxidant dark chocolate. I'm still skeptical, but haven't had a 24-hr bed ridden bout in 3 months, & my chronic pain has lessened, especially in my forearms & elbows. I'm always grateful for ANY type of relief!! My friend orders it & has it delivered to my house & I read the label on the box & was shocked: contains acai & blueberries, hardly any sugar & no added caffeine. One little nugget is equal to the antioxidants in like a pound of broccoli! I didn't know that commercial chocolate contains added caffeine and sugar; raw cacao contains almost no caffeine -- NOW I know how they get you hooked! LOL

Will keep you posted. If my symptoms continue to improve due to eating this chocolate, I will be a verrrry happy girl!!! OH, the company is Xocai...almost forgot.

  • I have been taking Lyrica for a couple of months along with the Vitamin B12 and magnesium. And I haven't had any pain for almost three months. I feel great!

  • I was just diagnosed and glad to finally have a diagnosis. So I was given Lyrica since I learned it's the only prescription available. I have only been on it a couple of weeks and she said it would take 6-8 weeks for it to work. I have ultracet for the pain otherwise.

  • Milnacipran I think is the name of it. It is an SSRI and works like Cymbalta to balance the chemicals in the brain to reduce pain.

  • Some people with RSD (like me) who have RSD also have Fibro (though Im told if you have Fibro it does not mean you will get RSD)I take Klonopin and Zanaflex for muscles and for my RSD MSContin (morphine Continuous release)and MSir (Morphine Immediate Release)for my RSD and Neurontin and Ibuprofen for both
