can I expect to confirm this. And what should the treatment be. I suspect a sacriliac strain.

  • I doubt the doctor will order tests, but he/she will examine your back and you muscle and joint movement. If he/she thinks there is something wrong they might have you do a spine x-ray, to see there is no harm caused to your spine. The treatment is rest, no heavy lifting and some gentle exercises such as walking, swimming and streching. You can also put pain relief creams or anti-inflammatory creams.

  • More than likely you have developed some muscle strain. If the pain goes away on it's own after rest for a few days, I suspect that's all it is. If the pain persists and starts to radiate down your buttocks and leg(s), then you should see an orthopedic surgeon for more extensive tests. Good luck to you.
