i think the shock was not to find carcinoid tumors in the appendix...it's your age...you usually find this tumors at people over 60...
i think the next stage is colonoscopy, to look for more, not that you have more, just to make sure. but didn't the Doctor told you that? i would look for a consultation with a gastro specialist about it..

Krindy, from what I know about carcinoid tumors, they can and do spread. And I don't want to scare you, but it not a thing to be taken lightly. I don't notice any more posts from you and wonder if you are still in need of advice. My first advice is to go see an oncologist. They are doctors who specialize in PREVENTION, treatment, etc. for cancer and even non-cancerous growths. Let that doctor evaluate your medical records and at this point, which seems to be at least six months later, let him/her advise you what is to be done for you.
God bless you.

Patricia

JustinTheBrave. thank you for your answers. my doctors don't even tell me when they diagnosed me with arthritis and I see a gastro specialist and all they do is give me an upper endoscopy all the time. I cant help but feel that because I have bad insurance I don't get the care I need.

Just read the discussion above.
Krindy, I was wondering how you were coping with everything and whether you have received any results from all the tests you've done.

they said that because it was in my appendix they wont need to look in other places for it. but I don't trust that. I wish they would look to make sure its all gone
