  • I had gestational diabetes when pregnant with my daughter 31 years ago... at that time I had to inject insulin in my thigh for the last month of my pregnancy. Doctor supervision, regular testing for problems.. oh yah, I had a 10 mo pregnancy and my baby was 9 pounds so you get bigger birth weight.

  • not getting the treatment is dangerous....as ShirlsWis sad- your baby will affected if not treated, and grow very big. the insulin itself do no damage to the fetus, it's a normal body hormone that lack of it can cuase problems.
