Suffering from one disease is a struggle then how about suffering from one or more at a time

Suffering from one disease is a struggle then how about suffering from one or more at a time? This makes me to ask you the following question, what determines if you have fibromyalgia versus another condition such as chronic fatigue or IC?

  • Hi Mickey. It sounds to be a heavy cocktail.

What is IC? I know this only as abbreviation in electronics for Integrated Circuits.

  • You have correctly mentioned another condition (chronic fatigue) which is closely related to fibromyalgia. Though the symptoms of FMS also include depression, mood changes, tingling in the extremities, tension headaches (migraines), morning stiffness, and concentration problems, the symptoms which seem to be universal in fibromyalgia patients seem to be: pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. And some physicians are of the mindset that if any of these three criteria are absent from a patient's complaints, it may be that FMS is not the proper diagnosis.
