  • Zorba now is the time before you feel like your head is going under water to seek help... now is the time to go see your doctor. Tell your doctor about the ups and downs you have been experiencing.. Ask to be referred to a psychiatrist so that you can get a proper diagnosis and effective treatments so you can feel better. I hope that you are able to get some help quickly so you can feel better as soon as possible... Remember during this time that you are not feeling very well that people care about you and are thinking about you... stay safe!

  • Hi zorba

How are you doing today? I hope you are feeling a little better today... Are you logging your moods? Possible triggers etc? It will help you in the future to arm yourself and prepare yourself fo future mood changes...

Just wanted to check in today and see how you are doing.

  • i think we can all help prepare for future mood swings by doing certain things ... taken me a while to figure things out for myself, and everyone is different and has thier own triggers ...for me i make myself rules ...an example me ... well im not allowed out on my own if i get hypomanic, and if i want to go out and there is nobody around i have to call someone ( hypomanic people typically like talking and are distracted easily) i am being smart about predicting what i might feel and manipulate those good qualities into something i think is manageable and can help keep me safe, however if i make a rule that i am not allowed to drink alcohol, that typically does not work because all i can think about is fun fun fun and being f'd up out of my brain.

so for you perhaps a start is finding out what you typically do in a mood and not both negative and positive qualities (if you can) and trying to work with it .. it is also important to have a crisis plan for when things really go c++t
