First of all, Chinese medicine is much more than acupuncture (the needle thing). Regarding your question, I don’t know about any trial proving acupuncture is effective in reducing weight. Does it mean it won’t work? Not necessarily, just that no one tested it.
Anyway, before you start any treatment or diet, it may be wise to consult your doctor.
Good luck!

with any diet,,you have to lower the amount you eat,and the type of food you eat,,,no diet will work if you dont do that,,,my suggestion is to try weight watchers,my wife counts calories, and go to meeting once a week, the program works because,it considers overeating an addiction, which it is.YOU CANT DO IT BY YOURSELF,.....mrfoot56

Thanks guys. mrfoot56, does the counting calories work for your wife? I actually thought about trying it once...sounds better than acupuncture.
