i guess the problem is insurance...first of all check with the company you worked on how long is their insurance continues and if you can continue it for a while until you get a new job. if it doesn't cover you anymore- it'll be a smart move to look for a good health insurance for yourself. do a small research and you can ask here if someone recommend anything. if all of that is not an option and you need a medical care in the next days- if i'm not mistaken, every hospital has to open a free clinic for those who doesn't have insurance.
