my son used to drink a lot till not so long ago.

He is now 14 and had a drinking problem. I know it sounds crazy. He is out of it now, thank god, and I really want to help him get back into shape and the real world. what kind of activities would you recommend him to do?

  • wow...at 14??? i recommend that you go to a family counseling. if a 14 year old kid gets an alcohol problem that is a sure sign of a problem with family function. i don't say you are a bad mother or something like that, i just think you may need some guidance. if it was a one timer- i might be able to understand, but an ongoing alcohol problem that you don't notice and not stop- that means you don't have the tools to do so...you need someone to give you those.

  • climb mountains to build his self confidence. And i don't mean climbing like cliff hanging i mean walk the trails and show him what he can accomplish. it will take a few hours but i will be a fun trip and you might even suprise yourself with what you can accomplish
