can daily exercise help your arthritis ease?

or can it only be harmful? I'm not a big believer in drugs, trying to help a friend aand I think that if he joins me to my daily exercise, he can get fit and feel less pain. He is afraid it'll only get worse. I'm pretty sure I'm right but wouldn't take the chance without your advice. what do u say? doctors will go for the meds, I'm sure...

  • First, it depends on the specific kind of arthritis- inflammation of the joint may stem from various causes, and each is different. Regarding osteoarthritis, there is evidence of modest benefits from exercise, although there's although a very big potential for damage, so my advice- before you start exercise program, consult a rpofessional.
