i have restless legs,and i was on lyrica.it has stopped working,any words of wisdom would help

does anyone else have the same problem?

    There are many alternatives (not only in the form of drugs), which I don't know if you've tried before the Lyrica, but maybe you should take a look.

  • I had similar or the same symptoms as RLS but very occasionally. For a related/similar condition of writhing/aching muscles my grandmother (correctly) diagnosed a potassium deficiency when I was a child.

    Now most always use potassium salt instead of regular salt (sodium chloride) - which has other cardio vascular benefits as well as helping the leg muscles relax at night.

    Never having taken a drug for the symptoms of RLS, I do not understand what the effects of not having it would be, and I understand RLS is more severe than these symptoms but it is worth doing anyway as it is cheap and harmless with dual beneficial side effects - NB you only need trace amounts of potassium, but it is a problem when you run dry. Bananas are also a source of potassium.

    This of course may have nothing to do with your condition. Hope you do find a treatment that works.
