Whether acupuncture works for hip pain?
I have pain in lower back and hips and my doctor could not find the reason. I feel the pain like a numbing needle and then severe sweating and finally when it flares up I could not walk. I wonder whether acupuncture works for hip pain.

your doctor knows it is arthritis,but he cannot be sure because arthritis diseases,an there are 60 of them dont show up on x-ray all the time....mrfoot56

Yes acupuncture is very effective for such pains; however, you have not confirmed the diagnosis yet. It could be fibromyalgia or rheumatic arthritis or some nerve damage, or something else. Did you had your back scanned or MRI? Some doctors have a hand held device which kills this kind of pain. Consult some other doctor if you are not satisfied with yours.
