What’s the story behind whole grain? is it that healthy..?

They keep on trying to sell whole grain bread and whole grain pasta and whole grain rice…it cost more and most of the time taste worse then regular food.

  • All types of grains are good sources of complex carbohydrates, various vitamins and minerals and are naturally low in fat. But grains that haven't been refined — called whole grains — are even better for you.   • You are exaggerating…it’s not that bad of a taste, and it’s not that expensive!
    The grain has a lot of nutrients with it being refined. Fibers (for example) that helps avoiding colic problems and heart conditions.
    About taste- it all depends on what you do with the material…breads are wonderful, and you can prepare them at home – lowering the cost. feature wild rice or barley in soups, stews, casseroles and salads.
