Tips for buying exercise equipment?

I want to get in shape and maybe buy one of those instruments they show on T.V. that can help me. Any tips which one can help? Have you tried any of them?

  • Well, it all depends, really, on how much you use it, and if you use it in the right way. I personally have tried a few, but I prefer to go to a gym and use all their equipment, and get the benefit of some professional advice.

However, I've read that the best home training equipment - and it's wayyy cheap - is a skipping rope. You know, boxers use these, lots of athletes do, and there are a lot of different things you can do with them. You can get them from Amazon. Lots of different types.

  • You should evaluate advertising claims for fitness products carefully. exercise — with or without special equipment — is essential for good health. But be skeptical of claims that you will lose several pounds, inches or pant sizes in a short time… all those commercials ("7 inches in 7 days!" or "3 dress sizes in one month!") are a bit dubious.

  • Look, the saying “no pain no gain” is the key here. you should ignore claims that an exercise machine or device can provide long-lasting, easy, "no-sweat" results in a short time. These claims are false: You can't get the benefits of exercise unless you exercise. If you want results – you have to make an effort. Try to find I friend to come with you to a weekly visits to a gym. That’s what I did and it worked.
