My grand mom have been diagnosed for osteoarthritis
It is very strange that my grand mom have been diagnosed for osteoarthritis.
She was having low back pain. Since a month ago her pain increased and it halted and postponed her most of the important meetings. This actually cost her lot. After meeting the doctor she was diagnosed to have osteoarthritis. And the cause for her back pain was also the same. Is this possible?

Yes osteoarthritis can lead to weakening of bones. Bones are every where in our body. Weakening of spinal bones or back bones can lead to back pain. At old age these problems increases and a simple exercise to keep the body flexible will work out well to reduce the pain and severity. Medicines are also helpful.

yes it is very possible. Osteoarthritis is a painful and damp or cold weather gives mine a kick start! Your grandmother should talk to her doctor about treatment options to help her manage her condition. Physical therapy could help by teaching her exercises and stretches that could help, there are several medications that could help and working with her doctor on managing her condition hopefully she could reach a point where the pain wasn't as bad so she could continue with her normal daily activities in work, home and social life. Good Luck and God bless to you both!
