Hi Prince,
Since scaphoid bone is located inside the joint and is constantly bathed by synovial fluid it may lead to slight delay in healing or nonunion. As fracture line moves proximally, there is a great risk of displacement and malunion. Since the cast just came off, it is important to have a followup x-ray to monitor the condition and please visit the orthopedist who will check the rate of healing. Since exercises very from individual to individual depending on the amount of healing, it is advisable to visit PT who will suggest you with more appropriate ones.
