What way I could make others understand my Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and my Generalized Anxiety disorder?

In what way I could make others understand my Obsessive - Compulsive Disorder and my Generalized Anxiety disorder? I am 25 and I am taking care of myself. My parents label things OCD which are not and vice - versa when something is OCD. Any advice?

  • Talk to your parents about how it makes you feel when they tag you. Explain that you are a person-like them with many facets to your individuality. Make them to imagine about how they would feel if they felt they were not being taken seriously due to some 'condition'. Request them to treat you as they would anyone else, only of course with more understanding and love.
