Can my friend still take garlic to treat MRSA?

My friend has been diagnosed with MRSA. Initially he had infection in his hand and it all started like red bumps. I have read that garlic can cure MRSA. The doctor has drained the infected puss out and has prescribed him antibiotics. Can he still take garlic to treat MRSA?

  • Garlic has a compound called Allicin, which is well known to act a natural cure for MRSA. It has been used more as a preventive rather than as a treatment. Though it definitely adds value to the treatment as it doesn’t let the infection to increase while the current treatment is on.
