What the cause is for Cataract?

My uncle has been diagnosed for Cataract. His left eye vision started to diminish since some months and after meeting the doctor he was diagnosed for Cataract. This has disturbed his vision and work as well. He is going to have operation. I want to know that what the cause is for Cataract.

  • Diabetes in a person is one of the important causes for having Cataract. But anyone who has been exposed to radiation or ultraviolet sunlight is also one high risk for having Cataract. Even alcoholics run the risk of having Cataract.
