is wolf-parkinson considered a bi-polar disease?

I have wolf-parkinson disease. I also have 2 mentally ill sons. I recently ordered my father's military records and found the he also suffered from wolf-parkinson disease but he and my mother kept it a secret. When I first had problems I was hospitalized for 2 weeks, had heart catherizations, every kind of test you can think of. After that I went from cardiologist to cardiologist.
Finally one doctor told me I had something like "soldier's heart".
I was unable to continue my job and quit.
I am 68 years old now and have 2 mentally ill sons. Both has been diagnosed as bi-polar. Is Wolf-Parkinson Syndrome considered to be a bi-polar disease or what? I would appreciate a response. Thank you.

  • nope...no connection what so ever.. wolf-parkinson's a heart disease. i know cause my father has it (but a mild one i guess...). anyway, it's a heart disease and has a treatment. but you'll have to speak with a cardiologist.
