My hands and wrists keep swelling, tingling and going numb.

I have had several rounds of Prednisone. It helps only while I am taking it. About 4 days after my last pill, the cycle starts all over again. My ankles soon start to hurt and my feet pop when I walk on them.

  • Hi, Your sensory nerve may have got damaged due to direct pressure being applied on the nerve. Other disease conditions may also be causing such symptoms. They are neuropathy, alcoholism, multiple sclerosis, reduced calcium levels, diabetes, etc. Prednisone itself can cause steroid myopathy and muscle weakness as side effects. There are certain precautions for all medications and one should not use the drug without prescription. If you do not see improvement with this medication, consult you physician, who will be able to suggest you a change in medication.
