What could be the cause for my wife's neck pain?

My wife is having long lasting pain in her neck and the upper arm region. She is feeling disturbed due to this pain and unable do her households properly. What could be the cause for her pain and is this some kind of muscle pain or this is sprain related injury she is facing?

  • The symptom she is facing may be related to fibromyalgia. It is better to consult with the doctor for the treatment of the pain as sprain related injury may be restricted to a particular part and it will not cause pain other than the area that has been injured.
