Does it mean that he is having cancer and the laser surgery has been done for this reason only?

My brother is having HPV. He is having it on his genitals. His treatment is going on. He has gone through a surgery and he has been vaccinated and has been taking his medications as well. I have heard that HPV infection can lead to cancer. Does it mean that he is having cancer and the laser surgery has been done for this reason only?

  • No it may not be cancer. This might look as if he may have cancer but it is not. Sometimes surgery is an option to remove the warts, if they can be painful in the future.
