What are the foods that can be taken to keep oneself warm and immune during the cold climate and winter. As I am planning to visit Alaska during the winter to keep myself warm in the Alaskan winter?

  • You must take fatty foods because fats acts as an insulator during the cold. It is better for you if you prefer fish liver oil and oil rich fishes for your food. Use warm clothing and have ginger tea and warm milk if necessary for you.

  • Winter is cold in most areas of the country. It's a time when people are trying to stay warm. Winter is also the time when you eat very often. Frequent hunger pangs in winter is natural but what is important is to keep a tab on what you eat and how much, else, it can create problems with digestion, as digestion generally, slows down in winters.
