Of late my mother has been diagnosed for TMJ. Doctor took a long time to diagnose her, as she was having fibromyalgia. Some years ago she was diagnosed for fibromyalgia. She is not well since then and it has confused in her diagnosis for TMJ. So it took time for her to be diagnosed for TMJ. I want to know that what difficulties she may face in her treatment? • Diagnosis of TMJ might be difficult but its pain is connected to fibromyalgia. People having fibromyalgia may have TMJ. She needs to for similar ways of treatment like she is having for fibromyalgia. Though, slight variations in medicines and therapies must be modulated for the better response to treat both TMJ and continued treatment for fibromyalgia. This would require your cooperation with the doctor.
