Is depression one of the cause for the bipolar depression?

Is depression one of the cause for the bipolar depression. I want to know as one my friend is showing mood changes and is taking treatment for the depression? He is showing mood changes related to the bipolar symptoms. Will this gets treated once the depression is treated?

  • Untreated depression seems to be one of the main reasons for the bipolar depression and mood changes. There will be change in the symptoms once the treatment for the depression is started. If this persists even after the treatment then you can get help from the psychologist for the treatment of the bipolar depression.
