My son is ten years old and he has been diagnosed for obesity.

My son is ten years old and he has been diagnosed for obesity. He weighs 130 pounds and he cannot run as well. I am worried about him and his future. Doctor has strictly advised to reduce his weight. He has to go for exercise and he has been told to play outdoor games. My son is not interested in these activities. And it is getting really difficult for him to make the move happen for him. How do I motivate him?

  • Motivating him will be very difficult. Before motivating we need to understand his emotional links with outside objects. If he is interested in any; then that can be linked with this emotion to motivate him, so though he starts to play. If nothing works then he will need medicines to help him gain a healthy weight or probably a surgery.
