I need some tips so that I can reduce the effect of the symptoms?

I am 43 years old and was diagnosed for bipolar maniac symptoms. These symptoms started like the normal but after some days my wife and friend noticed this and started saying that I am behaving in an unusual manner. So I had an appointment with the doctor and he confirmed that I was having bipolar maniac. I am getting treatment but I need some tips so that I can reduce the effect of the symptoms?

  • I think the most important thing to do is rest if you can, I just have recently relasped into mania with agitation and anxiety which was brought on by stress at work and a death in my family. I have been able to take some time off

  • To keep yourself reduce the symptoms you must avoid smoking, drinking and reduce the intake of coffee and tea as it is known to have increase the symptoms of the maniac. This can be further reduced by following the regular medication and therapies that are prescribed by the doctor.
