What is meant by the tender points and how it is related to the fibromyalgia?

My friend’s sister is 52 years old. She was diagnosed for the fibromyalgia and she said that the doctor who tested her for the fibromyalgia said about the tender points. What is meant by the tender points and how it is related to the fibromyalgia?

  • The tender points refer to the basic points that initiate the pain for the fibromyalgia. This can further used to identify the severity and the treatment needed for the fibromyalgia. These tender points are eight and they appear in and around the neck regions of the patient.
