My brother is obese and i want to know that what, apart from food can cause obesity

I had heard that genes can also lead to obesity. He does play baseball and he also loves bicycling. He takes up a good sleep every day. He also sleeps a lot, rather. He is mentally active. I don’t think that this can make him increase his obesity.

    Over sleep and over eating can also increase the sleep. He may be doing enough exercise, but his eating and sleeping, might have over limited his limits. Genes may be possible but reason but are you and your dad, obese?
