i want to know that what would have happened if he is not diagnosed at this stage.

My son has been diagnosed for Lactose intolerance. He used to have pain in his abdomen and the formation of gas was terrible. This was disturbing him and of late due to his lowered academic performance, he revealed the nature of his disturbance. We never understood that milk is creating trouble for him. He used to avoid milk but our force used to make him drink it. This actually was the cause for his disturbance. It’s good that he has been diagnosed in right time. I want to know that what would have happened if he is not diagnosed at this stage.

  • Hi,
Nothing would have happened except that he would have suffered a little more because of compulsion. Don’t worry. It is not dangerous to take lactose when he has lactose intolerance. Most lactose intolerant people withstand a limited amount. The severity depends on how much lactose produced in relation to how much consumed. Finding the level of tolerance would help your son to have minimal levels of lactose needed for the body. Good luck.
