what should be done to stop the habit as we are planning to have a child?

My wife is an occasional alcoholic and I am worried that this occasional habit may lead to alcoholism in her. What should be done to stop the habit as we are planning to have a child?

  • look- people here can tell you that there is no "occasional alcoholic" it's a "yes, no" kind'a thing. drinking occasionally is not being alcoholic. does she drink by herself? everyday? can she pass a week without drinking?
anyway drinking alcohol causes damage to the fetus. her child would suffer for the rest of his life because she couldn't help herself.
just explain that to her and agree to not drink a month before trying to get pregnant and see how it works.
