Chance at life when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in my final year at the University of Michigan. Instead of taking a break from my studies and returning home for treatment, I was determined to continue pursuing my degree while receiving treatment at my university's hospital. Although I knew my senior year would be different from what I had envisioned, I didn't want to miss out on creating lasting memories with my friends and completing our journey together.

Being a full-time student while undergoing treatment was incredibly challenging. It tested my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual limits. However, I was determined to maintain an active life outside of cancer. Alongside attending classes, I continued to work, participate in clubs, mentor others, travel whenever possible, and spend quality time with my loved ones. Balancing my life with cancer allowed me to stay grounded and positive throughout my treatment, which made reaching the finish line even more rewarding.
