Skin is a strong and at the same time fragile protective cover of the human body and its health is an indispensable condition for well-being. No wonder that it is considered as an independent organ, because, like the heart, liver or stomach, it has a complex structure and performs vital functions.

There are many causes leading to unhealthy derma, they can be external, which implies a traumatic effect of the environment, and internal, when the skin is affected by the problems of the immune and endocrine systems, the gastrointestinal tract etc.

Diseases of the dermatitis and dermatoses group, which also includes psoriasis, are not contagious, but they can significantly worsen the physical and psychological state of a person, therefore at the first manifestations of a problem it is recommended to seek dermatologist’s advice.

Atopic dermatitis is pathology of allergic nature, which, as a rule, appears in children during the first year of life. The disorder is manifested by itching and various rashes on the face and neck, on the scalp and in the natural skin folds – axillae, in the bend of elbows and hollow of the knees, in the groin etc.

Allergic dermatitis, in contrast to atopic, often occurs in adults as a reaction to food (food allergy) or to a contact (contact allergy) irritant. Food allergy usually manifests itself within 24 hours from the moment of intake this or that food product causing an allergic reaction. In case of a contact allergy, the inflammatory reaction and changes in the derma are observed only in the part of the body that has directly contacted the allergen.

Seborrheic dermatitis is a consequence of excessive sebaceous matter, which is accompanied by active reproduction of the fungus of the Malassezia genus in the epidermis. The disease is developed in the areas rich in the sebaceous glands – the scalp, nasolabial triangle, behind-the-ears regions, the thoracic and navel regions, the back area between the shoulder blades and armpits.

Eczema is a chronic relapsing disorder accompanied by inflammation, a rash and a burning sensation. It is usually appears on symmetrical areas of the body and flexor surface of the joints. The disease is caused by immune system disorder, which can be inherited from generation to generation.

Neurodermatitis is a consequence of two pathological processes occurring at once: an allergic reaction and “breakdown” in the work of the autonomic nervous system. The key symptom of the disease is the pronounced itching of the affected body areas, which destroys normal life and sleep of the patient. There are two forms of the problem: Vidal’s disease and neurodermatitis disseminate – depending on the affected areas. The derma becomes dry, inflamed and rough, and even after successful treatment the pigmented spots can still be observed in the affected area.

Psoriasis is isolated into a separate group not by accident, this is one of the most severe chronic skin disorders, which is characterized by an unpredictable course and mechanism of development. This problem occurs in people regardless of their age, sex, social status and lifestyle, although it is noted that it is often developed after a severe stress.
