Urinary tract

At each second man older than 50 years the prostate increases. This causes constriction of the urinary tract and prevents normal urination, in this case some amount of urine stays in the bladder.

And if the bladder is not totally empty, there is an increased possibility for development of an urinary tract infection, as urine rests form a perfect growth medium for causal organisms. The prostate enlargement in itself is not pathological; it’s a normal phenomenon during the insenescence of an organism.

Cold is dangerous for the health of the genito-urinary system. Prolonged hypothermia in the pelvic area can contribute to the development of an inflammatory process. Therefore, it’s not recommended for women or men to sit on cold surfaces for a long time.

It’s also not recommended to wear wet swimming trunks after swimming for a long time. Inflammation most often occurs in people with reduced immunity.

In men, cystitis is often accompanied by fever, chills, and a feeling of weakness. Also, there is severe pain and burning during urination. If the cause of cystitis is untreated prostatitis, it can lead to serious consequences – an inflammation of the kidneys and blood poisoning.

Therefore, at frequent and painful urination, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible. Treatment of prostate inflammation lasts an average of 7-10 days.

Examination and treatment

If a doctor finds out that prostatitis has become the cause of an urinary tract infection, drug treatment and, most likely, antibiotics will be required. If the urinary tract infection was caused by bacteria, then it may be possible to confine only to antibacterial drugs and herbal remedies.

Patients are advised to brew tea with birch leaves and, in general, drink plenty of fluids so that germs and bacteria are removed from the body.
