Anyone here taking ibuprofen every day? Is it bad long-term?

I’ve been dealing with knee pain that just won’t go away. Ibuprofen helps a lot, so I’ve been taking it daily for a bit now. But I started wondering — is that something people actually do? Like, is it safe if I keep taking it every day? Don’t want to mess up my stomach or liver or whatever. If anyone’s been through this, I’d really like to know how it worked out for you.

  1. I took it daily for a few weeks. Helped a lot, but my doc warned me about stomach and kidney issues. Try to take it with food and don’t overdo the dose.

  2. Been there. I used to pop 400mg every morning for shoulder pain. It worked, but after a while I started getting heartburn and my doc told me to cut back. Now I only take it when the pain’s really bad and use heat or stretching the rest of the time. Daily use isn’t ideal — better to find what’s causing the pain.
