Weight gain after quitting smoking—how do I stop this??

Hey all, I quit smoking six months ago (yay me, right?) but now I’m packing on the pounds like crazy, and it’s stressing me out. I know it’s common, but I’ve gained like 15 pounds in what feels like no time. I don’t wanna replace one bad habit with another (hello, snacking) but it’s tough. Anyone else go through this? How did you manage the weight gain after quitting? Is there a light at the end of this tunnel? ????

  1. First off, congratulations on quitting smoking! Weight gain is a common issue, but you can manage it. Try focusing on healthy eating and regular exercise to balance things out.

  2. Congrats on quitting smoking! That’s a huge win, even if the weight gain is stressing you out. It’s super common, and yeah, the snacking habit can sneak in as a replacement. Maybe try swapping snacks for healthier options or finding something else to keep your hands busy. A lot of people turn to exercise, even light stuff like walking, to help balance things out.

There is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel—your body’s still adjusting, and it takes time. Keep focusing on the positive changes, and you’ll get back on track!
