Weird rash on toddler’s belly – not itchy, no fever.

Hi everyone, my 3-year-old son developed this red spotty rash on his tummy about 4 days ago. It doesn’t seem to bother him (not itchy), and he has no fever or other symptoms. We eat normally, no new products. His pediatrician appointment isn’t for another week, but I’m getting really worried looking at it. Has anyone seen something similar?

  1. Dad of two here. My youngest had something that sounds just like that around the same age. No fever, not itchy, just a weird random rash on his belly. Our pediatrician said it was probably a viral rash – they’re super common in little kids and often show up with no other symptoms. It cleared on its own in about a week. I know it’s hard not to worry, but if he’s acting fine otherwise – playing, eating, sleeping normally – it’s likely nothing serious. Definitely still get it checked at the appointment, but try not to stress too much in the meantime.
