Upon completion of his residency in Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Aaron Wolfson joined the clinical faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in July of 1989. By June of 1999, Dr. Wolfson was granted tenure and subsequently awarded the rank of full Professor of Radiation Oncology in June of 2003. Dr. Wolfson has served as the Study Chair of two national cooperative group randomized clinical trials under the auspices of the National Cancer Institute. In May of 2013, Dr. Wolfson was selected as a Fellow in the American College of Radiology for his clinical and academic work in the field of Radiation Oncology.Dr. Wolfson has been internationally recognized for his clinical work regarding the use of radiation therapy in the treatment of cancers of the female pelvis as well as malignant and benign tumors of the skin and soft tissues. Dr. Wolfson currently serves as Co-Leader of …the Gynecologic Cancers Site Disease Group at the University of Miami/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center as well as participating in the Site Disease Groups for Gastro-Intestinal Tumors, Bone & Soft Tissue Cancers, and Skin Cancers at Sylvester Cancer Center.
