Dr. Aaron Lloyd specializes in interventional pain management and has more than 27 years of experience in the field of medicine. Having trained in both neurology and anesthesiology, he looks forward every day to diagnosing the source of the pain and applying modern medical treatments to ‘fix’ the problem or reduce the painful consequences. This unique background and his interest in finding solutions for painful conditions has allowed him to partner with leaders in the healthcare industry and continue to participate in research and education in an attempt to reduce suffering. He has been a primary investigator for national studies with Medtronic in spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal drug delivery.Dr. Lloyd is frequently requested to provide education to healthcare providers about the field of pain medicine in the classroom and laboratory. This includes all aspects of functional recovery including physical, interventional, psychosocial, and pharmacologic therapies. He received his Bachelor of Science from Emory University and his medical degree from the Penn State University College of Medicine. He trained at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University in neurology and anesthesiology, which he completed in 1996 where he remained on staff in the division of Neurosurgical Anesthesia prior to moving to Texas and entering private practice. Dr. Lloyd is a board certified anesthesiologist in pain management and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine.
