Dr. Kanter serves as the Ron & Sandi Simon Executive Medical Director Endowed Chair, Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute and Chief of Neurosurgery, Hoag Specialty Clinic. His practice focus is on lateral access surgical techniques and minimally invasive interbody fusion.
Prior to joining Hoag, Dr. Kanter served as Chief of Spine Surgery and as Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. A respected researcher, inventor and surgeon, Dr. Kanter is board certified in neurological surgery.
