Adil F. Niaz, D.O., is a board-certified, dual fellowship trained neurologist who specializes in headache medicine and facial pain. Dr. Niaz joins the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and offers expert diagnosis and coordinated care for all types of headaches. He is supported by a highly trained neurology care team, with access to the latest technologies and treatment options.
Dr. Niaz diagnoses and treats a wide variety of conditions including: cervicogenic headaches, chronic daily headaches, cluster headaches, concussion-related headaches, episodic / chronic migraine, facial pain, menstrual migraine, new daily persistent headaches, tension headaches, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias and trigeminal neuralgia.
Dr. Niaz completed his neurology residency training at VCU Health, where he was selected as chief neurology resident in his final year of training. He went on to pursue a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at VCU. …He then completed a fellowship in headache medicine and facial pain at Yale University.
He is a member of the American Headache Society, American Epilepsy Society (selected as AES Fellow 2021-2022), and the American Academy of Neurology. He has given lectures on a broad range of neurologic topics to medical students and residents as well as authored a textbook chapter on migraines for the World Headache Society.
