Dr. Alexander Tu, MD

Alexander Tu, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician treating children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents, at the Newport Beach, Irvine, and Huntington Beach, California, locations of Newport Children’s Medical Group.
Dr. Tu has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient care and has a particular specialty in international and oral health.
Dr. Tu provides primary pediatric care, well-child exams, immunizations, and builds enduring relationships with his patients and their families. He also treats chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma, lung and thyroid disorders, and developmental issues like attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism. With a focus on oral health, Dr. Tu diagnoses and treats a range of issues, empowering his patients with healthy oral habits and a life-long confident smile.
Dr. Tu is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is …fluent in Mandarin Chinese. During his time in Maryland, Dr. Tu enjoyed teaching Sunday school for five years and sharing a number of medical presentations in rural China over the years.
