Dr. Ali Behnia

Dr. Behnia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering (Cum Laude) from Boston University as well as a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from the University of Maryland. He attained his specialty certificate in Endodontics, upon graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School with honors.  Dr. Behnia has published and lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally. He is an active member of numerous professional societies, including the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and Southern Maryland Dental Society.
Over the past eight years, Dr. Behnia has been an active member of numerous committees at the Maryland State Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists.  Dr. Behnia currently serves as the Treasurer of the Maryland State Dental Association’s Dental Association Company, numerous Committees at the MSDA, and the Dental Benefits Committee of the …American Association of Endodontists.
He was recognized as a Top Dentist (Endodontist) by the Washingtonian Magazine in 2009 and he has also been honored Fellowship in the American College of Dentists in 2010.
Prior to opening his private practice, Dr. Behnia was an Assistant Professor and Director of Pre-doctoral Endodontics for four years at the Department of Endodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School.  He is currently a Part-time Clinical Assistant Professor (Dean’s faculty) at the Department of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry at the University of Maryland Dental School.
