Meet Dr. Alin Lina Akopians
Dr. Alin Lina Akopians is a passionate physician driven by her love for medicine, volunteer work, and patient services. She is a respected fertility specialist in Southern California and around the world.
Dr. Akopians remains focused on the future of reproductive services and family planning, as well as the effects of the endocrine system on fertility. She is dedicated to passing on her knowledge and skills as a volunteer UCLA associate and a professor at UCLA Extension. She also continues to help patients become parents at Southern California Reproductive Center (SCRC).
Dr. Akopians received her Bachelors and Masters in Physiological Science as well as her Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology from UCLA. She then completed her medical training at Albany Medical College in New York before returning to Los Angeles for her OB/GYN Residency Program at UCLA. She completed her REI Fellowship training at the UCLA/Cedars-Sinai program.
In …addition to a multitude of scholarships, Dr. Akopians also received special honors and awards including Magna Cum Laude from UCLA for her undergraduate studies, the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) recognition for her medical education, the Arthur Hengerer, M.D. Award for excellence in GYN surgery at Albany Medical College, and the Special Resident in Minimal Invasive Gynecological Surgery Award at UCLA OB/GYN residency program. Furthermore, Dr. Akopians has authored and co-authored numerous publications covering a range of reproductive and prenatal-related topics. Volunteer clinical associate professor at UCLA and a professor at UCLA Extension.
Fluent in Armenian, Farsi, and English, Dr. Akopians is dedicated to life-long learning and providing the best care for her patients
