Dr. Alkmini Anastasiadou, MD

Alkmini Anastasiadou, MD is a Manhattan based holistic alternative doctor and natural endocrinologist. She received her medical degree from the Medical Academy of Gdansk, a prestigious European medical school with a history that reaches back to Guild of Surgeons established in 1454. Following graduation, she worked for the Greek government in a family practice on the island of Ikaria, Greece.
In 1987, Dr. Anastasiadou moved to the United States. She received her Internal Medicine training at Nassau County Medical Center and New Rochelle Hospital; followed by her Endocrinology fellowship at Westchester County Medical Center. She then went on to work at the Fertility Institute at Brooklyn hospital.
In 1996, Dr. Anastasiadou started her private practice in Manhattan.
Dr. Anastasiadou’s interest lays in comprehensively identifying the cause of patient’s symptoms and discomfort—including the metabolic, nutritional, emotional, environmental and energetic source, since all of them may …disrupt our endocrine system. Her goal is to enable patient’s self-healing abilities.
In addition to her expertise in the field of medicine, Dr. Anastasiadou received 10 years of classical music education in Czech Republic and Greece. She speaks English, Greek, Czech and Polish.
Dr. Anastasiadou resides in Manhattan, New York. She is mother to Danae and Orion, college students currently studying at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
