Dr. Amir Quefatieh, MD

Amir Quefatieh, MD is board certified in pulmonology, critical care, sleep medicine and internal medicine. He is the current Medical Director of Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Sleep Center, where he has served as a staff physician since 2010. His commitment to excellence in patient care most recently earned him a 2014 Patients’ Choice Award, and the 2014 Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Physician of the Year. Dr. Quefatieh graduated first in his medical class of 400 at Aleppo University School of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria, and undertook an internship in general surgery before moving to the United States for his internal medicine residency at the University of Maryland’s Harbor Hospital Center in Baltimore. He then completed a multi-year fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine followed by a three-month fellowship in sleep disorders at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich.
