Dr. Amit Punj, DMD

Amit Punj, DMD, MCR, FACP, is Chief, Prosthodontics and Director of the Prosthodontic Residency Program at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Punj?s clinical focus is in partial and complete mouth restorations and rehabilitation using dental implants, dental crowns, dental bridges and removable dentures. He has a particular interest in managing the care of individuals with congenital dental disorders like hypodontia, ectodermal dysplasia and enamel defects.After completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at KLES Institute of Dental Sciences in India, Dr. Punj attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2005. He completed his postdoctoral training in prosthodontics in 2014 at Montefiore Medical Center. In 2018, Dr. Punj earned his Master of Clinical Research from Oregon Health and Science University.Dr. Punj?s clinical research focuses on dental implants and dental materials. His research interests also include general prosthodontics and digital …dentistry. He has shared his work through invited presentations and publication in peer-reviewed journals.Dr. Punj is board-certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics, and is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association and the American Dental Education Association. In 2014, Dr. Punj was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society in recognition of his outstanding achievement in teaching medical students.
